Job Description:

The New Kent Winery and Talleysville Brewing Company is seeking a Part-time Hospitality Lead.  We are looking for energetic individuals who share our passion for great wine and craft beer and have a commitment to excellent customer service to help sell, serve and educate our customers.

The Hospitality Lead is the first line manager, supervising front of house staff.  The Lead will perform the daily duties of running the tasting/tap room, supervising staff, promoting wine, beer and food sales and general event and retail operations of the Winery/Brewery.  The Hospitality Lead reports directly to the Owners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages and performs the daily needs of the tasting room through direct management of opening/closing, drawer reporting, gift certificates, and other daily procedures

  • Maintains overall cleanliness and appearance of the tasting room to customers

  • Assists in hiring and training of new staff members in the Retail Operation

  • Works with new staff or places them with Assistant Leads to train on the job

  • Conducts Weekly Tasting Room Updates to Staff via email and in-person meetings

  • Assists in planning and orchestrating scheduled public events for the operation

  • Assists scheduling Musicians and Food Trucks

  • Coordinating with Vendors our expectations

  • Keeping up to date records of confirmations for Owners

  • Assists in organizing and managing Employee Schedules

  • Maintaining needed staffing levels for daily operation

  • Inventory Management

  • Private Events

  • Makes judgment calls and decisions in Tasting Room operations 

  • All other duties as assigned.

Hourly Salary commensurate on experience
