Marketing Assistant/Social Media Specialist Job Description
Job Description:
New Kent Winery and Talleysville Brewing Co are seeking a talented marketing professional to assist in the brand development and social media management of our various business operations. Day to day duties will include creating original text and video content, managing posts and events, responding to followers, and other occasional marketing tasks such as updating the website, managing email lists, and other web accounts. You will be responsible for maintaining an engaging and consistent voice that aligns with New Kent Winery’s brand and handling our social media presence to ensure high levels of traffic and customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Generate, edit, plan, publish and share engaging content regularly, including creating and curating content including stories, photos/images, video/clips, graphics and more.
Maintain an engaging and consistent voice that aligns with New Kent Winery’s brand.
Collaborate with Marketing Consultant to create a monthly content calendar, maintain a regular social media posting schedule, and creates paid social media campaigns aligned with brand and company priorities, holidays, and current trends
With the project manager’s input and guidance, responds to any customer service issues posted to social media (i.e., Facebook page, Google Business page)
Keeps abreast of all social media trends, working with the management team and marketing consultant to implement new social media applications
Tracks the public’s access to New Kent Winery’s social media pages and works with management team to expand/reach a broader audience
Monitor social media pages and ensure proper engagement and interactive stories with followers
Build social media relationships with community partners
Amend website as needed with Squarespace
Complete SEO optimization for website under the direction of the Marketing Consultant
Monitor, report, and advise on trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design, and strategy
Skills & Qualifications:
Strong understanding of social media marketing and strategy at brand level - Instagram, Facebook, and Google Business are required
Experience managing, building-on and creating social media campaigns or brands preferred.
Versed in social media content management and digital content management.
Demonstrable written and visual (design) communication skills as related to social/digital marketing.
Thorough and creative written and oral communication skills
Project Management: Ability to juggle multiple projects and manage timelines
Takes direction well, pays attention to details & executes in a timely fashion
Knowledge of Canva and Adobe Suite are a plus
Ability to film and create short form video content (stories, reels, etc.)
Job Type:
Part time, ideally 24 to 30 hours per week, with the possibility of full time employment
