Join us for a full cooking demonstration with 'The Blissed Out Chef,' Laurel Herman. Four courses will be paired with four of our New Kent Wines.
A classically trained chef in the organic and natural food world, Laurel Herman is a graduate of Thames Valley University UK Culinary School and the Author of The Inner Kitchen. During the past 10 years, Laurel has concentrated on working with organics, gluten free foods, cancer patients and people in transition. Cooking has become her spiritual practice. Laurel says "I began to experience on a deep level, through repetition in my daily work, what I call, sacred dancing in the kitchen. Cooking is not only a form moving meditation, but a force for healing. I am overjoyed to bring the tools of this ecstatic dance to you, through music, connection, awareness, and above all else, LOVE. The menu for the afternoon will include:
First Course: Roasted Acorn Squash Soup with Coconut
Second Course: Arugula Salad with Pecans, Fresh Ginger and Cranberries
Third Course: Chicken Tagine, with Apricots, and Moroccan spices
Dessert: Apple Crumble
